#1 – Bunnies!
We all know how bunnies like to multiply and that’s exactly what’s happened in our store for Spring! We’ve added Bunnies By The Bay to our Kids’ Room, which include sweet (and exceptionally soft) plush stuffed animals.
In the kitchen we are stocking bunny tea towels and in terms of whimsical décor, Vaillancourt Folk Art rabbits have arrived. To give you an idea of how beloved this artisan is at Past Basket, our last Christmas order was wiped out in one day! We are expanding what we will feature of the Spring line which are bunnies, made by pouring liquid chalk into vintage chocolate molds and then beautifully hand-painting each piece. Hop in and get a Vaillancourt bunny before they all hop on out of here!
#3 – A macramé vibe
The 1970s was bursting with macramé and it appears that the knotted textile is coming back in style – everywhere! On your tabletop, Deborah Rhodes has a beautiful Patchwork Daisy placemat to frame your dishes, and remind you of your hippie mom. 😉
#4 – Casual cups
A simple design with a POP of color, these Caravan glasses are begging for the weather to turn for al fresco dining, yet work just as well indoors. Seen here in turquoise, but also available in navy, citrus, and yellow.
#5 – Vintage map throws
Faribault Woolen Mill Company blankets and throws have been made in the USA since 1865 and is one of the last vertical woolen mills in America. We were delighted to add their Vintage City Map throw to our shop. A wool and cotton blend features designs inspired by actual vintage street maps of some of the most beloved cities in the world and make for a wonderful graduation gift! (Other cities available by special order, contact Past Basket for details.)
#6 – Dots and stripes and candles, OH MY!
We can’t stop talking about the polka dot and striped candles from Et Al Designs. These hand-embellished candles are right on trend for 2017. Hand crafted bees wax, Et Al taper candles burn for 11 hours and combine contemporary fashion with timeless function.
#7 – Scrumptious Bedding
Yves Delorme has really outdone comfort and beautiful bedding in 2017. From lovely lavenders to classic whites, this French luxury line has us spoiled with Egyptian combed cotton, making for a luxurious night’s sleep. PS – the Volute pillow shams (pictured on the bed below) reverse from a micro geometric pattern to a solid silver with piped finishing.
