Thin, crunchy and delicious!

By request, Linda is sharing her go-to cookie recipe.

Melt these three ingredients on low heat
in small saucepan:
1 cup butter (two sticks)*
2 T water
2 T maple syrup
*salted or unsalted butter, your preference

Combine these dry ingredients thoroughly:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 t baking soda
1 t baking powder
2 1/2 cups regular oatmeal

Combine melted and dry ingredients, will be very buttery. Keep in refrigerator to firm up, about an hour.

Divide in two portions and form two rolls/logs. Do not have to be in perfect rounds for slicing, oblong OK. Wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate till firm.

Remove wax paper and cut into approx. 3/8” slices. Bake slices at least 2” apart on ungreased pan.
350 degrees, 12-15 minutes or longer. Enjoy!
